Germany Agriculture

Over 80% of Germany’s land area is used agriculturally. The most populous state in the European Union, the country is also one of the most significant agricultural producers, valued at €49bn annually.

The country produces nearly 48 million tonnes of cereals each year (nearly 16% of the EU’s cereal production), 4.8 million tonnes of rapeseed and over 11.5 million tonnes of potatoes – making it the largest potato producer in Europe.
