Sustainable procurement & responsible sourcing
To become an industry leader in responsible sourcing, ensuring that we manufacture our products in the best possible social and environmentally responsible manner.
We require suppliers to share our commitment to sustainability in daily business and along the value chain, and ensure safe and ethical working principles aligned to international labor standards. Fulfilling these requirements is the foundation of any business partnership and of our sustainable and innovation growth.
The EcoArx program is grounded in Arxada's sustainability strategy, seamlessly integrated across the entire enterprise. In our pursuit of understanding the potential Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) impacts of our suppliers, we will require a customized Supplier Sustainability assessment and/or audit, to be facilitated by an external leader provider. Our sustainable procurement program builds off the foundation of our updated Supplier Code of Conduct, which emphasizes our commitment to following the key principles of the United Nations Global Compact and the International Labor Organization (ILO) Forced Labor Standards, as well all applicable anti-bribery and anti-trust laws.
We evaluate suppliers using EcoVadis, a reputable provider of corporate social responsibility ratings. Our aim is to assess the quality of a company's sustainability practices by examining its policies, actions, and outcomes. This assessment begins with an analysis of the supplier's sustainability performance to categorize their risk category. Our overarching principle in our dealings with all suppliers is one of mutual responsibility. We conduct ourselves with a commitment to responsible practices and expect the same from our partners. Additionally, we extend our assistance to partners as they endeavour to fulfill their own responsibilities. Our approach includes conducting regular reviews based on sustainability risk assessments. Should we become aware of any violations, we take swift action to address them. In cases where appropriate, we collaborate with our partners, civil society, or engage in cross-industry initiatives to address challenges collectively, drawing upon a wider network of stakeholders. Conversely, in situations where necessary, we may explore alternative business options and retain the right to discontinue business relationships.
The prefix 'Eco' serves to emphasize the link to 'Ecology' and 'Economic,' two key pillars of Sustainability and also hints at our partnership with Ecovadis. By incorporating 'Arx' in the project name, we underscore our commitment to safeguarding the integrity of Arxada's supply chain.
