For Wolmanized EraWood® Lumber
Introduced in 2006, Wolman® AG was the industry’s first non-metallic preservative. This innovative product is a formulation of propiconazole, tebuconazole and imidacloprid (in Canada the formulation is propiconazole, tebuconazole and a quaternary amine compound) that provides lasting resistance to termites and fungal decay in exterior, out-of-ground applications.
Wood treated with Wolman® AG, branded as Wolmanized EraWood® lumber, is suited for decking, rails, fences, and millwork, as well as interior uses including sill plate and framing. Wolman® AG is certified by Home Innovation Research Labs as meeting requirements for termite-resistant materials in the National Green Building Standard™ Wolmanized EraWood® lumber is nearly colorless and can be painted or stained with no discoloration from the preservative. It has no more effect on woodworking tools than untreated wood. Lumbrella® water repellent can be added to Wolman® AG products to minimize the effect of moisture and help prevent warping, twisting, and cracking.
Wolmanized EraWood® is the first decking product protected by a nonmetallic, carbon-based solution. While the biocides used in the preservative are known to degrade in soil, they have a low potential to bioaccumulate. Wolmanized EraWood® lumber is acceptable under building codes. The preservative is listed in the AWPA Book of Standards.
